Thank you for considering a donation to Habitat for Humanity of North Louisiana. Each gift you make helps a family in need of decent shelter. All Habitat for Humanity of North Louisiana donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law and will be acknowledged with a letter you may use for those purposes. Gifts made on-line are safe, thanks to our secure-server capability and will be put to good use by Habitat. We take seriously our responsibility to contributors, to those counting on our help to be wise stewards of funds entrusted to us. We raise all our funds locally and receive no funding from Habitat for Humanity International. We support the efforts of Habitat for Humanity International by tithing 10% of all donations, unless the donation is restricted to be used Ouachita, Lincoln and Jackson Parish.

As the Monroe/West Monroe, Ruston and Jonesboro areas continue to grow, securing land for Habitat for Humanity of North Louisiana home projects becomes more challenging. Habitat for Humanity of North Louisiana appreciates land donations, but we do not build in the floodplain and we do not mediate heirship issues. The proceeds from your car donation come directly back to helping build homes for local families in Ouachita, Lincoln and Jackson Parish. We accept cars, trucks, RV’s, vans, SUV’s, boats and motorcycles whether they are running or not.

Can I donate a vehicle that does not run?
Absolutely! Your vehicle does not need to be running in order to donate it. But, it does need to have all tires inflated.
How much of a tax write-off do I get for donating my car?
When you vehicle is sold, that will determine the value. If your vehicle sells for more than $500, you may be eligible to deduct the full selling price. If your vehicle sells for $500 or less, you can deduct the “fair market value” of your vehicle, up to $500. We recommend that you talk to your tax advisor to determine your personal tax deduction situation.
